SWA Lidar Applications

Since 1983, Simpson Weather Associates has been funded by NASA, NOAA, U.S. DoD, CNRS, Lockheed, General Electric, and Northrop Grumman to develop simulation models for space-based and airborne Doppler lidar wind measuring systems. The integration of lidar technology with SWA's capabilities in atmospheric research makes us an unique resource to agencies interested in lidar wind measurements.

SWA's current Lidar-related activities include:

bullet

Lidar Simulation Models for Space-based and Airborne systems: Doppler Lidar Simulation Model 4.2, Mars Lidar Simulation Model 1.0, Doppler Lidar Simulation Model 3.0 (1995)
